Works as a copywriter.

Ghost writes for clients but isn’t afraid of the dark.

She rises early, sleeps on her stomach and must have water by the bed.

She hates it when pips from her lemon get into her salad, or when she misses her morning run because of sheer laziness.

She reads a lot, but never fiction, because she wants to know what is really going on in the world.

Alyce loves books about madness, addiction, survival and history.

This blog is a place for her creative writing, short stories, poetry, diary entries and articles.

  1. I’ve always wanted to visit Australia. I love the accent! 🙂 It seems like a beautiful place. Not sure where in Australia I would go. My cousin lived there for some time.

  2. Hi Alyce, I found your site during a search on perfectionism, but it seems we have much more in common! I’m also vegan and a writer and my next book will be on weight loss. I would like to send you an ecopy of my current book The 7 Secrets of the Prolific; if you’re interested please email me at hillary@hillaryrettig.com Thanks! (And hi from Boston, MA)

    • Hi Hilary – thanks so much for your comment and your offer – I’d absolutely love a copy of your book. I’ll email you today. Thanks again and have a great day – I always love reading articles about health, nutrition, veganism and weight loss.

  3. Alyce, you have an interesting blog, but not reading fiction is throwing out the baby with the bathwater. As a senior citizen, I can tell you that I have learned more about life from reading fiction that non fiction, not to mention the extreme pleasure of experiencing good writing. Try it, you might like it.

    • Thanks for your comment, Tony! I did start to read the top 100 novels of the 20th Century (it’s a wiki list). I had a few favorites, including Lolita, Brave New World and Deliverance.

What’s a fiction book you could recommend to me that I might be able to get at my local library?

  4. One word, Genius! … Ok, a few more, Love your writing. It’s writings like these that truly inspire and make you “want and work” to be a better writer… Ah, but the sadness of it all, it’s these writers that make it look so easy… 🙂 Thanks, please stay at it! …

    • Thanks so much for your comment – that’s really kind of you. I wrote a lot – as in several hours every day. I find that this helps me. I appreciate your comment – very nice of you to stop by!
